Ruby Kolesky

Co-CEO and ❤️ of Product, Joyous

Ruby is obsessed with inventing new and better ways of doing things at work. She is the co-author of Joyfully, a book about shared leadership, modern organizational structures, and a new way of working.

Mother of two young children, Ruby believes the tech talent shortage represents a huge opportunity for women today. Her view is that women should be encouraged to consider tech as a career path regardless of their age or current role. She has also created and open-sourced a Parental Journey benefit to improve support for parents at work, which has been adopted by many other organizations.

Why Joyous Gives Employees Time Off To Experience Joy

Imagine if you regularly took a day off of work for no other reason than to experience Joy. Better yet, imagine if that was paid time off. What might that do for your mental well-being? Joy Days are the opposite of mental health days. Our goal is to prevent stress and burnout in the first place. We get paid time off to do the things that bring us joy. Hooray!
